Terms of use

I'm Pious Alpha, a private person in Antwerp, Belgium, and I run piousalpha.com and its sites: this profile (me.piousalpha.com) and the journal (blog.piousalpha.com). These terms apply when you use any of them. By using them, you accept these terms. You can reach me at privacy@skyll.io.

The text, photos, design and CV on the sites are mine, unless it says otherwise, and protected by copyright. You're welcome to read them, link to them, share them and quote short parts with my name and a link. For anything more, such as copying pages, reusing photos or training AI models on the content, ask me first.

The sites describe my work as it was when I wrote them. I keep them up to date as well as I can, but I can't promise that everything is complete or current. They're information, not an offer: work together is agreed separately, in writing.

PiousLLM is an AI that answers questions about my work in my voice. It isn't me, and it can get things wrong. Answers marked "Written by Pious" are mine; the rest are written by an AI model from what's on the sites.

• Its answers aren't advice, offers or commitments. Nothing it says about prices, availability, deadlines or terms binds me: only what I confirm myself, in writing.
• Use it for questions about my work. Don't use it to try to get around its instructions or limits, make it say something harmful, or send questions automatically. It takes up to 5 questions a minute and 30 a day from each network.
• What happens to your questions is in the privacy policy.

Don't use the sites for anything unlawful, try to break into them, overload them, get around their limits, or collect their content in bulk with automated tools. I may block access to anyone who does.

The sites link to other sites, such as X, Instagram, GitHub, LinkedIn, Skyll® and Cal.com. I'm not responsible for their content, and their own terms apply there.

The sites are provided as they are, and may sometimes be unavailable. As far as the law allows, I'm not liable for damage that comes from using them, from relying on what they or PiousLLM say, or from their being unavailable. Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law doesn't allow to be limited.

Belgian law applies to these terms. If we disagree, let's try to sort it out first: write to me. Otherwise, the courts of Antwerp decide, unless the law gives you the right to go to the courts where you live.

I may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed, and the version on this page is the one that applies.
